How to integrate Social Emotional Learning at all levels. In the last twenty years there have been a number of studies done on the markers of an engaged student. Is it genetic? Home life? Learning environment? There is no easy answer, but in looking over these findings one element has risen to the top again and again. Authenticity. In an overworked system, it is often hard to create an authentic experience for each individual student in the classroom. This is how the Outreach program came to be. Come and learn about how we are educating students in authentic leadership, helping them to realize their potential, and using those lessons to help students in younger grades experience what it means to belong to an educational system...not just get through it.
